MaF
MaF stands for Maryke en Frouke. Two sisters born in Rotterdam and stilll living there. Maryke (’77) was a student at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and now she is a teacherbnat a secondary school for pupils with difficulties in hearing and communication. Frouke (’79) studied television, film and theater arts at Utrecht University and at present she is developing into a skilful teacher at primary schools. Our comman interest for art led us to set up MaF. Whenever we are not in Rotterdam, we are likely to be found near the coast, the beach or doing shopping in Knokke. Our parents possess a cottage in Retranchement, which gives us the opportunity to work there and enjoy that inspiring environment. Our work is a result of this.
